well being quirky alone has posed some good advantages. here are some happy yappy cheaper things i've discovered lately.
sushi countdown - did you know that sushi gets a good bargain once clock gets ticking at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm? Yes. they are perishable goods so their price goes lower and lower as night passes by. Try standing in front of a grocery store offering sushi items at 8pm. I find it amusing when i see the crew putting new price tags every 15 mins till my sushi becomes $1 only :) (that is from $8 to $1 !)
amazing race challenge - did you know that you can get lesser transpo charge if you walk and exit faster in a train station? yup it works. also there are some in-between stations were bus has no charge at all. In going to hospitals, research the site if there are free shuttles going around the compound. In going themeparks (universa; studio) you may wait for the RWS shuttle infront of vivocity(only around $2) than taking the tram in vivocity level 3 which costs $3.
have a long and winding road moment - getting a very relaxing lazy afternoon would only cost you $5. Yes. That is renting a bike in east coast, with fresh sea breeze and relaxing music plug in your earphones.
get a dip - taco chip dips are wayy expensive. why not create one than buying those artificially bottled dips? main ingredients - tomatoes, cilantro (chinese coriander), onion, lemon, salt, pepper and your chopping skills.
brainfreeze challenges - get a game where you most likely get addicted to. there are sites that offers beta games for free (for testing ex. ghost recon). or download some fun flash games (supermarket mania, picture puzzles, etc.)
get some reading - having a new book and smelling the pages are addicting for me. you dont need to buy one every time. your nearest public library has loads of them and you only need a diligent way of ... of course, returning them :) (btw, they have dvds too)
create your own mtv or videos - this is my part time hobby, i have friends who requests for some music videos (from their fave songs and set of pictures) and i have to create them to be shown on their wedding receptions. Very fun and fulfilling seeing them happy and enjoying your work of art.
that's all for now, need to charge my brain batteries and have more quirky alone episodes
soreja!
